Job Description

Better Buzz Coffee Roasters is more than just a coffee shop — it is a lifestyle brand dedicated to delivering exceptional coffee experiences while fostering a sense of community and connection. Founded in 2002 by two college students with a dream and a coffee cart, Better Buzz has rapidly grown into a thriving and respected business with multiple locations across California, Nevada, and Arizona. The company prides itself on roasting its own organic, fair trade, and rainforest-certified coffee every week, ensuring top-tier quality in every cup. At Better Buzz, every day begins early and moves fast, fueled by a unique combination of energy, authenticity, and camaraderie. The company’s culture embraces fun, teamwork, and a shared passion for coffee, shaping an environment where employees and customers alike feel valued and inspired.

As a Better Buzz Barista, you won’t just be preparing coffee — you will be creating meaningful experiences for each guest that walks through the door. The role is designed for individuals who are as passionate about coffee as they are about people. Baristas at Better Buzz are not only caffeine experts but also ambassadors of the brand’s lively and welcoming spirit. This position offers competitive pay starting at $15.15 per hour along with tips averaging around $4.00 per hour, allowing team members to earn up to $19 per hour. Employment is part-time or flexible with a minimum commitment of 22 hours per week, including availability on weekends and holidays. The job demands a fast-paced mindset balanced by genuine friendliness and hospitality.

Baristas at Better Buzz develop their skills through dedicated training provided by a certified Training Ambassador and have clear opportunities for growth within the company. This is a highly dynamic position involving cross-training to work all café stations, including food preparation in the kitchen and meticulously maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Employees benefit from exclusive perks such as free drinks and food during shifts, a 35% discount on retail items, food, and beverages off-shift, and paid sick time. The work environment is high-energy and full of people who share a love for great coffee and exceptional service.

Better Buzz is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and encourages employees to be authentic. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and fosters a culture where every team member is welcomed and supported. If you are gregarious, hospitable, accommodating, competitive, energetic, and ready to join a vibrant community focused on making a difference one cup at a time, Better Buzz invites you to live the Buzz Life and apply today.
