The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a premier luxury hotel located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, just approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This hotel is a significant part of a vast new development project set to include 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world's largest "ski beaches." Job Requirements
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- refined verbal communication skills
- must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including am and pm shifts, weekends and holidays
- must have current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
- food service and/or other certification as required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a coffee shop or similar customer service role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- certified alcohol server and/or food service permit as required by local regulations
Job Duties
- prepare beverages according to menu standards
- fulfill guest orders promptly and accurately
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop area
- provide friendly and welcoming service to all guests
- ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- operate coffee machines and related equipment efficiently
- assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
