The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a premier luxury hotel located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, just approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This hotel is a significant part of a vast new development project set to include 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world's largest "ski beaches." The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley itself boasts 436 luxury accommodations, including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units. It offers nearly 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, an inviting lobby-level three-meal restaurant and bar, a signature bar, a pool and apres-ski bar and grill, a coffee bistro, a large outdoor event terrace, pool and three whirlpools, a kids club, and a fitness area. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Barista/Coffee Shop Attendant at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. This role is vital in providing top-notch service within the coffee shop located inside the hotel. As a Barista/Coffee Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for fulfilling guest orders, ensuring beverage preparation adheres to menu standards, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will exhibit reliability, a friendly demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills, engaging positively with both guests and coworkers. Job Requirements

- must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including am and pm shifts, weekends and holidays
- must have current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
- food service and/or other certification as required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a coffee shop or similar customer service role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- certified alcohol server and/or food service permit as required by local regulations
Job Duties
- prepare beverages according to menu standards
- fulfill guest orders promptly and accurately
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop area
- provide friendly and welcoming service to all guests
- ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- operate coffee machines and related equipment efficiently
