The role is integral to ensuring the smooth daily operation of the food and beverage services, primarily focusing on customer interaction, order processing, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization across workstations. Candidates in this position will be entrusted with opening and closing duties, including organizing supplies and equipment, thorough cleaning of all areas, securing premises, and ensuring smooth cash handling procedures.
The role requires the use of systems such as MICROS for order entry and cash register operations. Responsibilities also include preparing foods and beverages such as coffee, maintaining clean dining and service areas throughout the shift, and performing various physical tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds. Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing tasks such as organizing provisions and equipment
- Clean all equipment and areas
- Lock doors at closing
- Organize and restock work areas
- Enter orders into the cash register system and process payments
- Take orders, enter them into the MICROS system, prepare food and coffee
- Ensure appliances like coffee machines are turned on and off at appropriate times
- Clean tables and cart areas for coffee service
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day
- Secure adequate change for expected transactions
- Balance cash register at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, deliver receipts, and secure the cash box
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Report maintenance, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain neat and professional uniform and personal appearance
- Protect company information confidentiality and property
- Support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
- Assist the team in achieving common goals
- Meet quality assurance standards
- Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects under 25 pounds without assistance
