Job Requirements
- Must maintain current state-issued Food Handler Card
- must be 18 years or older
- able to multi-task and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- ability to communicate effectively with others, written and verbally
- inclusive, respectful and professional and the ability to work as part of a team
- the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- the hours can be part-time/full-time based on availability, available weekends and holidays, hours can fluctuate due to the needs of the business
Job Qualifications
- Retail and/or customer service experience is preferred
- coffee experience is a plus
- effective communication skills both written and verbal
- ability to work inclusively, respectfully, professionally and as part of a team
- ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment
- maintain current state-issued Food Handler Card
Job Duties
- Welcome and connect with every customer every time by being a brand ambassador with positivity and enthusiasm
- consistently provide quality beverages and food
- have a clear knowledge on all inventory items and accurately communicate product information to customers by responding to questions, orders, and concerns
- maintain a clean environment including the cleaning of the back of house, bar areas, and patios to contribute to a healthy environment for customers and employees
- contribute to store profitability by following Verve’s cash handling and cash register protocols
- participate in the training and development of new employees
- work at different stations in the café as needed and assigned
- assist in keeping the Cafe clean
- follow all Verve policies, procedures, and processes
- have a passion for coffee!
