Job Description
Geronimo Hospitality Group is a dynamic and award-winning collection of boutique hotels, restaurants, and clubs known for setting high standards in the hospitality industry. The group is not your typical work environment; they are a team of passionate professionals committed to breaking the mold and rejecting the status quo. Geronimo Hospitality Group prides itself on creating destinations that offer unique and memorable experiences rather than just being mere pit stops. This innovative spirit is embedded in every aspect of the company, from their culture to the customer service they offer, making it an exciting and inspiring place to build a career.
Within this vibrant group operates Blue Collar Coffee Company, a coffee shop that specializes in espresso and handcrafted coffee drinks made from beans roasted by Wisconsin-based Ruby Coffee Roasters. Blue Collar Coffee Company embraces a robust drink menu that includes not only coffee, but also teas and smoothies, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere oriented towards hardworking individuals who appreciate coffee with character. The company’s focus on excellent service and quality products makes it a popular destination for coffee lovers and those looking for a laid-back yet professional environment.
Geronimo Hospitality Group offers a comprehensive benefits package that reflects their commitment to rewarding effort and skill. Employees enjoy benefits such as employee discounts, paid time off, training and development opportunities, 401K plans, medical benefits, 24/7 online care, and even pet insurance. This package underscores the company’s dedication to fostering a supportive and growth-oriented workplace culture.
As a Barista at Blue Collar Coffee Company, you will hold a crucial role in ensuring that every guest leaves with a positive, lasting impression. Your role goes beyond serving coffee; you will be the face of the establishment, tasked with educating customers about the various options available and providing personalized service to help guests select the perfect beverage or food item. Maintaining a warm, friendly, and clean environment is key to the guest experience, as is your dedication to mastering the coffee menu and preparation techniques.
Daily responsibilities include learning the full menu, educating customers, maintaining cleanliness of the workspace and customer areas, preparing drinks using prescribed recipes, managing inventory, keeping equipment in excellent working order, and continually updating your coffee knowledge through education and industry interaction. Punctuality and professionalism are critical, as is the ability to leave a positive impression that encourages repeat visits and word-of-mouth promotion.
This position requires open availability and a competitive spirit, as it is a fast-paced and demanding environment where teamwork and customer focus come first. Experience as a barista is preferred but not mandatory, and strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Geronimo Hospitality Group values individuals who are proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to a team that doesn’t just meet expectations but sets the bar high.
