This part-time opportunity is based at the Arnett Hospital Starbucks location and offers an engaging role for individuals passionate about providing exceptional service with compassion and purpose. The schedule includes rotating shifts from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm with every other Saturday off, structured as three 8-hour shifts per week, with one workday always falling on Friday. This position is perfect for those who wish to contribute meaningfully to patient and visitor experience while honing their skills in a dynamic, healthcare-focused retail environment.
As a Starbucks team member at Arnett Hospital, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality Starbucks beverages, following standardized recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation. You will learn and sustain proficiency in crafting an array of Starbucks drinks, including espresso-based beverages, teas, cold refreshers, and seasonal specialties. Your role also involves food preparation tasks such as warming, assembling, and packaging items while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
Maintaining stock levels by replenishing ingredients, supplies, and retail products during shifts will be key to smooth operations. You will also be expected to ensure cleanliness and safety by routinely cleaning dining areas, service counters, equipment, and workstations. Prompt waste removal, aligned with hospital sanitation and infection control standards, is critical. Above all, delivering excellent customer service by providing timely, friendly, and efficient interactions with patients, visitors, and staff is central to this role, reflecting Indiana University Health's commitment to compassionate care and service excellence. This position offers not only hands-on experience in the renowned Starbucks brand but also a meaningful way to support the healing environment within a leading health system.
