Job Qualifications

Previous experience as a barista is required
passion for coffee and a deep understanding of different types of beans, roasting methods, and brewing processes
strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
knowledge of cash handling procedures and experience using a cash register
ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
basic knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment

Job Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and healthy drinks
take customer orders and process payments using the cash register
provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area, including clearing empty plates and glasses, cleaning tables between each service, sweeping the floor and cleaning the restroom
maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
communicate effectively with guests to ensure their needs are met
follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of products
operate the Toast POS system to input orders accurately
