Greensboro College Dining, located at 815 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, is a vibrant dining establishment that serves the students, faculty, and staff of Greensboro College. We are currently seeking dedicated and energetic part-time Baristas to join our dynamic campus dining team. This role is designed for individuals with a passion for coffee and exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for making and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and various food and beverage items while adhering to standardized recipes and HACCP food safety guidelines. The position offers a competitive pay range of $13.00 to $15.00 per hour and is scheduled on a part-time basis from Monday through Saturday, between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm, with additional scheduling details shared during the interview process.

Baristas at Greensboro College Dining play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for customers by preparing high-quality espresso orders accurately and efficiently and managing point-of-sale transactions. The job requires attention to detail in replenishing condiments, maintaining cleanliness of the service area, and ensuring food presentation meets established standards. The role demands excellent communication skills for interacting courteously with customers and employees, promoting menu items knowledgeably, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

Minimum one year of Starbucks experience
must be able to work part-time including Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 7:30 pm

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
minimum one year of Starbucks or related coffee service experience
knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
experience handling cash and operating POS devices
excellent customer service and communication skills
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
ability to follow standardized recipes and food preparation guidelines
strong attention to detail and cleanliness
ability to work part-time schedule including weekends

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
follows HACCP standards
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
serves food neatly and attractively per standard
performs other duties as assigned
