Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • More than 1 year of previous barista experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to carry and balance trays
  • Continuous use of hands and arms
  • Ability to bend, reach, and twist repeatedly
  • Maintain strong personal image and uniform standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Welcome and interact with guests appropriately and take food and drink orders
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of coffee preparation including specialty drinks
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to hotel standards
  • Ensure the espresso and bar area are fully equipped with necessary tools and products
  • Set and maintain appropriate service ware and serve, check on, and run food
  • Speak knowledgeably about food and drink menus
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system
  • Prepare service drinks for servers during brunch shifts
  • Assess customers’ needs and make appropriate recommendations
  • Utilize sales tactics to upsell food or drinks
  • Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Provide guidance on hotel activities, dining, and local information
  • Ring in and collect payments
  • Handle assigned house bank and follow cash handling procedures
  • Communicate ordering needs to minimize stock shortages
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by managers
  • Report scheduling conflicts and communicate professionally with staff and guests
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces and bar top
  • Wash glassware and tools to maintain health standards
  • Comply with food safety and ABC regulations
