The role of Barista at Sodexo is a full-time position located in Beigene, Hopewell. This opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $21 to $23 per hour and involves working weekdays only, with specific shifts to be detailed during the interview process. The Barista position is essential in delivering high-quality beverage services while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, tailored to customer preferences.

Your primary goal in this role is to provide quick, friendly, and personalized customer service, welcoming each guest and effectively managing beverage orders. Additionally, the position involves maintaining an inviting atmosphere by arranging supplies and displays attractively, cleaning coffee machines and preparation areas regularly, and adhering to food preparation and sanitation standards. Handling cash register operations, recording sales, and following cash-handling procedures are also integral parts of the job.

Beyond serving beverages, the Barista plays a critical role in educating guests about menu offerings and encouraging suggestive selling to enhance sales. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves significant walking or mobility, and the ability to stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding eight hours. You will also need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
