We are currently seeking to fill full-time Barista positions at our MUSC Columbia Downtown location, situated at 2435 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC. This role offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $16.25 per hour and requires previous barista experience. The schedule is full-time with open availability preferred, though days and hours may vary with additional details provided during the interview process. As a Barista with Morrison Healthcare, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional coffee and espresso-based beverages, alongside related food and beverage items, while adhering to HACCP food safety protocols and quality service standards. You will engage directly with customers and fellow associates to ensure a friendly, courteous, and efficient service experience. The Barista role encompasses preparing espresso orders for both individual customers and catering events, strictly following standard recipes and measures. Duties include accurately entering orders into the POS system, accepting payments, replenishing supplies and condiments, and ensuring that all beverages and food items are presented attractively with correct portion control. You will maintain the sanitation of equipment and work areas, keep display equipment clean during meal service, and thoroughly clean your workstation before shifting to other tasks. Customer interaction is a key aspect of this role, requiring courteous greetings, addressing concerns by relaying them to supervisors, and assisting customers by effectively explaining menu items and advocating sales techniques to enhance their buying decisions. This role demands efficiency in serving customers quickly to prevent delays and the professional presentation of all foods served.
