Job Description

The Buttery is a beloved local establishment that serves as much more than just a cafe. It is a unique blend of a local eatery, village bakery and patisserie, and specialty coffee shop, all nestled within a charming retail environment. This combination creates a warm, inviting atmosphere where the community gathers, enjoys exceptional food and beverages, and experiences genuine hospitality. The Buttery is dedicated to fostering a culture built on care, quality, and connection, making it a cornerstone of comfort and community in its area. The business thrives on a collective commitment to excellence, valuing not only the products it serves but also the people who contribute to its welcoming and vibrant environment.

As a Barista at The Buttery, your role transcends the typical coffee-making duties. You are a vital part of creating the unique atmosphere that makes The Buttery special. The position requires a passion for coffee and tea craftsmanship, combined with a dedication to sharing that knowledge in a way that enhances each guest's experience. You will work closely with supervisors and your fellow team members to uphold a hospitality-driven environment that reflects the heart and soul of the business.

This role entails preparing and serving beverages that adhere to The Buttery's high standards, ensuring that every guest receives friendly and efficient service. Your responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operations by keeping the bar area clean and organized, managing supply restocks, and maintaining retail displays. A critical aspect of the job is collaborating with the Lead Barista to maintain health, safety, and quality standards, ensuring consistency in every beverage served. Your contribution to cultivating a positive, cooperative team culture is vital, as is your enthusiasm for continuous learning through product education and training new team members.

The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and who bring a genuine passion for hospitality. Whether you come with experience in high-volume coffee service or are eager to grow your skills, The Buttery offers a supportive environment where you can develop professionally. The company values a team-first mindset and a genuine love for great food, drink, and customer experiences. A Barista at The Buttery is not just a job but a meaningful role within a community-centered business that values quality, care, and the shared joy of exceptional hospitality.
