We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Barista to join our campus team at Midwestern University. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the campus dining experience by preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverages. The Barista will work Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and courteous manner. This position offers a fixed pay rate of $19.00 per hour and requires prior barista experience along with food handler certification to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.

As a Barista at Midwestern University, your responsibilities will include preparing espresso orders for customers and catering events using standard recipes, accurately entering orders into the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card transactions, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. You'll ensure food and beverage items are presented attractively and served at proper temperatures, complying with HACCP guidelines. Customer interaction is a key component of this role, as you will greet patrons warmly, explain menu items clearly, and help with the buying decision to create a satisfying experience.
