Job Description

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, established in Southern California since 1963, has grown to become one of the world's largest specialty coffee and tea retailers. With a global presence that includes cafes around the world and offices in California, Singapore, and Malaysia, the company is deeply rooted in its heritage, values, and passion for premium coffee and tea products. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is known for its creative and caring spirit, which is embodied by its dedicated team members who have made the brand famous and beloved by customers first in Southern California and now globally. The company focuses on maintaining a brand centered around passion — a passion for high-quality products, talented people, and exceptional customer service. If you share this passion, joining the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Brew Crew offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant and growing team.

The role of Barista at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is more than just making coffee and tea; it is about curating memorable experiences for guests and representing the company's commitment to guest service and sustainability. This role involves engaging with guests to provide the world's finest quality coffee and tea experience while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the store. The Barista position is perfect for individuals who love premium coffee and tea and want to work for a socially responsible, guest-focused company. Baristas at CBTL have the chance to develop skills across various aspects of the business while building loyal customer relationships locally. The company prides itself on promoting from within, with many General Managers having started their careers as Baristas. CBTL offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.00, based on minimum wage ordinances and experience, and provides a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires the Barista to act as a warm host, guide guests through their coffee experience, share knowledge about coffee, tea, and sustainability practices, and contribute to the overall success and safety of the store. A positive attitude, teamwork, and ownership aligned with the company’s core values of friendliness, respect, honesty, and teamwork are essential qualities for success in this role. If you are enthusiastic about coffee and creating fun, meaningful guest interactions, this role could be your perfect blend.
