The role of Barista at Sodexo located at Central Oregon Community College offers a unique opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. As a Barista, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and providing personalized and efficient service, preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit-blended drinks. You will maintain strong customer relations through speedy and friendly service, educate guests about menu offerings, and suggest items to enhance their experience.

Beyond the direct customer interaction, the Barista role involves maintaining the coffee bar and cart by arranging supplies and creating attractive displays. The position requires a strong focus on cleanliness, including frequently cleaning coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation spaces to uphold Sodexo's standards. You will also be responsible for handling sales transactions accurately, operating cash registers, and following cash-handling procedures diligently. Physical demands include significant walking, standing for extended periods (potentially exceeding eight hours), and the ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift items as heavy as 50 pounds occasionally.
