The Barista position at Sodexo, located at Central Oregon Community College, is a full-time role that offers a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. As a Barista, you will be the face of Sodexo for guests, delivering quick, friendly, and personalized service. Your main responsibilities will include preparing and serving a diverse range of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, always tailored to customer specifications. The role requires maintaining excellent customer relations, ensuring speedy delivery of beverages and food items, and educating guests about menu offerings to encourage suggestive selling.

You will be responsible for keeping the coffee bar well-stocked and visually appealing by arranging supplies and cups or mugs attractively. Regular cleaning of coffee machines, preparation areas, and the restaurant environment is essential to uphold sanitation and safety standards. Additionally, you will handle sales transactions, operate cash registers, and follow strict cash-handling procedures.

Physical stamina is important for this role, as it involves significant walking or other means of mobility. You must be able to stand or walk for extended periods that may exceed eight hours, as well as reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts or moves of up to 50 pounds. Punctuality and reliability are key as you are expected to attend scheduled shifts on time with regularity.
