Job Description

Nisqually Red Wind Casino is a prominent gaming and entertainment establishment operated by the Nisqually Indian Tribe. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and guest-focused Baristas to join the Nisqually Red Wind Casino team. This role is key to delivering the unique Nisqually Grounds Experience, emphasizing prompt and friendly service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. The Barista position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing extraordinary guest service in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The Barista will handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues to the satisfaction of guests and management alike. They will also manage cash, credit card transactions, and other payment forms accurately, maintaining proper accounting practices in line with the casino's core values.

The role requires creating a warm and friendly atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of coffee and beverage options according to Nisqually Grounds recipes and standards, assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, basic math ability, and a passion for guest service. The ability to work effectively within a team, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and obtain necessary permits such as a Food Handlers Permit and Class II gaming license are also essential. Job Requirements

Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen
Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
6 months guest service experience
Ability to effectively communicate
Basic math skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license

Job Duties

Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
Accurately input all orders into the POS system
Answer guests' questions about products and services and provide recommendations based on guests needs
Process guest orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Deliver food orders promptly if applicable
Provide excellent guest service, resolving any customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
Prepare and serve a variety of coffees and beverages according to the Nisqually Grounds recipes and standards
Assist with food preparation, including heating and serving pre-made food items
Ensure strict food storage procedures are followed to prevent spoilage and contamination
Ensure that all products used in the front of house are labeled with appropriate dates and pricing
Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate service
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to all sanitation and safety control policies
Maintain a clean area
Stock grab and go display cases utilizing FIFO (First in- First out)
Clean tables after guests have left
Accurately reconcile cash drawers
Perform other duties as assigned
