The role of Barista at Sodexo, located at the United American Insurance Company in McKinney, TX, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. This position involves working on weekdays with morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. The physical demands of the job include significant walking or other means of mobility, the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, and the capacity to lift moderately heavy items up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull

  • Ability to operate cash register and handle money accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Customer service related work experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems
  • Certification for Starbucks Baristas may be required

Job Duties

  • Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service
  • Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, considering customer specifications
  • Works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
  • Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling
  • Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays
  • Cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
  • Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures as required
