The Barista position at Sodexo, located at the Centenary College of Louisiana, offers a part-time role with a pay range of $12.00 to $18.00 per hour. This position is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused environments and who enjoy crafting high-quality beverages. The role includes varying shifts, with preference given to candidates with open availability. As a Barista, you will be the face of Sodexo to guests, delivering exceptional customer service, personalized drink preparation, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient service area.

In this role, your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, mixing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, and other specialty drinks, all tailored to customer preferences. You will also be responsible for maintaining good customer relations, ensuring speedy delivery of orders, and actively engaging in suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience. Organizing coffee bar supplies and creating attractive displays will be key to maintaining a visually appealing environment.

Operational tasks such as cleaning coffee machines and preparation areas, handling sales transactions including cash register operation, and adhering to cash-handling procedures are integral parts of the position. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift items up to 50 pounds occasionally. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as is the flexibility to undertake additional duties as required based on client needs.
