This role is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category at The Westin Dallas. Job Duties
- Perform opening and closing tasks such as organizing provisions and necessary instruments
- clean all equipment and areas
- lock doors
- organize, stock and maintain work areas
- enter orders into the MICROS system and process customer payments
- take orders and prepare food and coffee
- ensure appliances like coffee machines are operated at correct times
- clean tables and café rolling areas
- maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day
- handle cash transactions and balance the register at shift end
- complete cashier reports and resolve discrepancies
- secure the cash register
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
- complete safety training and certifications
- maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance
- protect company information and assets
- support and respect coworkers
- assist the team to achieve common goals
- meet quality assurance standards
- move, lift, transport, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted
- stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods during shifts
- read and verify information in various formats
- inspect tools, equipment or machinery for defects
- manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- reach above the head and below the knees including bending, twisting, dragging and stooping
- navigate confined or elevated spaces
- ascend and descend stairs or service ramps
