The Barista role at Sodexo, specifically located at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, is an on-call part-time position offering a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Previous customer service related work experience
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems
- Certification as a Starbucks Barista may be required
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts

Job Duties
- Greet all guests and provide quick, friendly, and personalized service
- Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks while considering customer specifications
- Maintain good customer relations and ensure speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
- Educate guests about menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling
- Arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to create attractive displays
- Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas regularly
- Record all sales, collect money, operate a cash register, and follow cash-handling procedures
- Perform significant walking or other means of mobility during shifts
- Walk or stand for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours
- Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
