Located at Bethune-Cookman University, Sodexo is currently seeking a full-time Barista to join their team, offering a competitive hourly wage of $15.00. This position involves working weekday shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening hours, with specific schedules to be discussed during the interview process. As a Barista at Sodexo, you will be responsible for creating a variety of hand-crafted hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, tailoring each order to meet customer preferences. You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive customer relations by delivering quick and friendly service, educating guests about menu offerings, and utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience. Additionally, you will handle cash register operations, maintain cleanliness of coffee machines and preparation areas, and ensure that the coffee bar is well-stocked and attractively arranged.

This role involves significant mobility, including walking or standing for extended periods – sometimes exceeding eight hours – and requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This physically engaging position demands punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining workplace standards.
