The Role: The position open is centered on providing outstanding customer service within a hospitality setting, emphasizing quality beverage and food products. As a team member in this capacity, you will be an essential part of the customer experience journey, delivering prompt and courteous service while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. This role involves direct guest interaction, helping customers select from a range of food and beverage options, including specialty coffee preparations using espresso machines and blenders. You will engage in upselling techniques to maximize profitability while ensuring operational accuracy through order processing in a point-of-sale (POS) system. Beyond food and beverage preparation, the role requires diligent adherence to safety and sanitation standards, including food handling, TIPS certification adherence, and health department regulations. Team members must wear appropriate footwear to prevent slips and report any safety hazards promptly.

This position demands physical stamina and mental focus as you will be walking, standing for extended periods, multitasking, and interacting with multiple guests simultaneously. The job also requires the ability to carry significant weight intermittently and perform tasks under varying environmental conditions, sometimes including exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noises. The team member will use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere strictly to the company’s hazardous materials program. Responsibilities extend to ensuring the workspace remains organized, restocked, and hygienic to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience. Handling cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently while balancing daily sales is also a critical component of this role.

The ideal candidate possesses at least one year of experience in the food service or barista field, preferably within a hotel or resort. Familiarity with food and coffee preparation, superior guest relations skills, and an ability to achieve high standards in customer satisfaction are essential. Candidates must be able to work flexible schedules, including holidays, weekends, and varying shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. Possessing or willingness to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment is mandatory. English language proficiency, basic math skills, and strong communication abilities are required to ensure clarity, safety, and professionalism. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • helps guests select food and beverages by providing information about available selections
  • upsells food and beverage items to maximize profitability
  • enters orders to POS system and records guests' choices, special dietary needs and special requests
  • prepares quality products including coffee and non-coffee beverages with the use of an espresso machine, blenders and other equipment assisting in beverage preparation
  • prepares food items according to recipes
  • ensures guests are served quickly, courteously, and efficiently
  • operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash, credit card, or room accounts
