The Barista role at Summer Moon Coffee is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee and customer engagement. Job Requirements

A passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service
Previous experience as a Barista or in a fast-paced customer service role is a plus, but not required
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Able to make change quickly and efficently

Job Duties

Prepare and serve Summer Moon Coffee's signature drinks, including our famous Moon Milk lattes, espresso-based beverages, and tea selections
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service and ensuring their experience is memorable
Maintain knowledge of our menu and up-sell additional items such as pastries, merchandise, and seasonal specials
Ensure coffee equipment is well-maintained and clean, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
Keep the coffee bar and seating area clean and organized, ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers
Process transactions quickly and accurately, operating the POS system and handling cash
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth, efficient service, especially during busy periods
Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness standards, maintaining a high level of hygiene and food safety
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any concerns with a positive and solution-oriented attitude
Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels, notifying management when items are low
