Job Description

The Ryder is a unique boutique getaway nestled in the vibrant heart of one of the world’s most beloved cities. This establishment offers a refreshing escape-meets-experience with its inviting pool, cozy coffee bar, and a tropical bar designed to inspire the independent, fun-loving, and creatively curious spirit in all visitors. The atmosphere at The Ryder is deliberately curated to be both welcoming and invigorating, making it a perfect destination for those seeking not just relaxation but a sense of community and discovery. The Ryder is part of the Makeready collection, a group known for exceptional hospitality and a dedication to creating enriching experiences for both guests and team members.

In this role, you will be the cherished coffee connoisseur of The Ryder, responsible for crafting impeccable coffee beverages and offering expert guidance to customers. This position requires a passionate and knowledgeable individual who takes pride in creating the perfect cup of coffee tailored to each guest's unique taste preferences. Beyond beverage preparation, the role involves educating customers about The Ryder’s diverse coffee offerings and making thoughtful recommendations that enhance their overall experience. A key element to success in this position is delivering warm, authentic hospitality that makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed and valued.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a barista or demonstrate extensive knowledge of coffee, tea, and other drink recipes. You should possess strong customer service skills, a thoughtful and proactive nature, and a professional demeanor at all times. Operating the brewing equipment efficiently and maintaining a clean, organized workspace are essential duties. You will balance multitasking with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every drink meets the highest standards and every guest interaction is positive. The role also requires respectful communication and teamwork to maintain a harmonious environment.

The Ryder, in partnership with Makeready LLC, provides thoughtful benefits to its eligible part-time team members. These include free TeleDoc visits, discounted dental, hearing, and vision coverage, assistance with medical equipment including diabetic supplies, and many other ancillary benefits. The health, happiness, and well-being of our team are paramount, and we strive to create a supportive workplace where all employees are empowered to bring their true independent selves to work.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is steadfast. We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate based on race, color, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, or any protected category. Instead, we focus on hiring and developing talent based on individual qualifications, experience, abilities, and job performance. If you are passionate about coffee, enjoy engaging with guests, and seek to join a dynamic team in an inspiring environment, The Ryder offers an exceptional opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to a memorable guest experience.
