The Barista position at Sodexo located at the University of Southern Indiana offers a full-time or part-time opportunity with a competitive pay range of $15 to $17 per hour. Job Duties

  • Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service
  • mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, considering customer specifications
  • works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
  • educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling
  • arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays
  • cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas regularly
  • records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures
  • performs significant walking or other mobility as required
  • stands or walks for extended periods, potentially exceeding 8 hours per shift
  • reaches, bends, stoops, pushes or pulls, and frequently lifts up to 35 pounds with occasional lifting or moving of 50 pounds
  • attends work and shows up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • performs other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
