The opportunity available is for a full-time Barista position located at Workday, 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588. This role offers a competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 and entails working Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with more detailed scheduling information provided during the interview process. This position is ideal for individuals who have previous experience in customer service, front-of-house roles, or barista duties and who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

As a Barista at Wolfgang Puck Catering, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items in accordance with industry standards and HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and food safety. You will interact with customers and team members courteously, maintaining a positive and hospitable atmosphere that aligns with Wolfgang Puck’s commitment to excellence. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency in order processing through POS systems, and adherence to sanitation and presentation standards.

Job Requirements

  • Previous business or industry service experience required
  • prior front-of-house or barista experience required
  • ability to work full time Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • must handle food according to HACCP guidelines
  • able to operate POS device accurately
  • able to communicate courteously and clearly with customers
  • capable of maintaining sanitation and orderliness
  • must wear appropriate protective equipment when handling knives or hot equipment
  • use slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • commitment to working in a drug-free environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently
  • demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
  • serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
  • ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • serves food neatly and attractively per standard
  • performs other duties as assigned
