We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Cashier to join our team under a probationary union status. This position offers an hourly wage starting at $16.81 for union employees, with benefits included. The schedule primarily covers weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, although hours may vary, and mandatory overtime may be required in accordance with the union contract.

The role of the Cashier at Whispers Cafe is essential for ensuring smooth operations in a high-volume dining environment. The successful candidate will manage monetary transactions, including student meal cards, cash, and credit cards, strictly adhering to established money handling and merchandising procedures. In addition to their cashier responsibilities, they will assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the timely delivery of quality meals. This position demands a person who excels in customer service, works efficiently under pressure, and upholds the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

The Cashier is responsible for station setup, restocking, and occasionally putting away orders, ensuring the workspace remains neat, clean, and sanitized throughout the shift.
