This café operates from 7:45am to 4:15pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring convenience for all visitors during business hours. The role of the Café Barista at Think is essential in shaping the positive experience that customers have. This position requires an individual who can efficiently provide high standards of customer service by preparing and serving a variety of drinks and food items with care and precision. The Barista is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of the café, as well as ensuring that all supplies and merchandise are well-stocked and presented attractively. Using proper point of sale (POS) systems and cash handling techniques, the individual ensures smooth transactions and accurate accounting.
In addition to crafting beverages and serving food, the Barista engages with customers by greeting them warmly, making emotional connections, responding to menu inquiries, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Familiarity with barista techniques and equipment is key, along with the willingness to continue learning and improving coffee brewing skills. The role also includes managing coffee air-pots and shuttles in several key locations to guarantee fresh supply and comfort for patrons throughout the building.
Responsibilities extend to the upkeep of the café environment, involving bussing and sanitizing tables, chairs, and the bar area to uphold health and safety standards. The Barista also plays a part in merchandising efforts by sampling, presenting, and selling various baked goods like muffins and cookies, enhancing customer choices and satisfaction.

- Practicing excellent customer service
- preparing drinks and food items for patients throughout building
- maintaining bar cleanliness

- keeping bar stocked with merchandise and food items
- accurately using POS and proper cash handling techniques
- merchandising, sampling, and selling muffins, cookies and other food items
- brewing and maintaining coffee air-pots and shuttles in four key areas
- ensuring freshness and replenishing supplies in these areas several times per day
- bussing and sanitizing tables, chairs, and bar
- displaying knowledge of product, menu, and use of equipment by following prescribed recipes and standard barista techniques
- continuing education on how to properly operate equipment
- preparing and serving coffee, drinks and food items at the Agora Café
