This position is a full-time, non-management role based in Newport Beach, California, with a competitive hourly pay of $16.90 and eligibility for tips. The role falls under the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, operating within the luxury hospitality setting of the St. Regis brand. As a team member in this position, you will be responsible for a variety of opening and closing duties, maintenance of work areas, processing customer orders with accuracy using the MICROS system, preparing food and coffee, and ensuring all equipment such as coffee machines is used according to proper standards. You will maintain cleanliness and readiness of tables, utensils, and equipment throughout your shift, handle cash transactions including preparation of necessary change, and perform cashier duties, including balancing the cash register and securing it at the end of your shift.
The job requires compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, timely reporting of maintenance or safety hazards, injury incidents, completion of required safety training and certifications, and maintaining a professional and neat appearance. The successful candidate will respect privacy and confidentiality of company information, protect its assets, support team members, and operate with dignity, respect, and professionalism. Physical aspects of the job include lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, performing visual inspections of equipment, and navigating through various spatial environments like confined or elevated spaces and service ramps.
