Job Description

The position of Barista is integral to the company's mission of providing courteous, knowledgeable, and outstanding customer service. This role requires a combination of superior barista skills and excellent product knowledge to deliver beverages that meet the store's highest standards. The Barista must be adept in numerous technical factors including the grind of espresso, pressure applied during tamping, the speed of espresso shot pulling, milk temperature, and the correct choice of serving cup to ensure every beverage is crafted to perfection. Beyond technical skills, the Barista plays a crucial role in customer engagement, welcoming and connecting with every customer to understand and cater to their needs effectively.
The Barista’s responsibilities extend beyond beverage preparation to include health, safety, and sanitation adherence; ensuring operational flow by following company policies; merchandising and stocking products to meet organizational standards; and contributing positively to the store's sales and profitability goals. This role also demands professionalism, effective communication within the team and with customers, and strict compliance with cash handling and inventory practices.
