The company is currently seeking a full-time Barista to join their team at the Salesforce location in San Francisco. This role offers an hourly wage of $26.30 and involves varying shifts with open availability preferred to meet business needs. As a Barista for Sodexo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience by providing exceptional service and crafting high-quality hand-made beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks. Your responsibilities will extend beyond beverage preparation to include greeting guests with a friendly and personalized approach, promoting menu items through knowledgeable suggestions, maintaining cleanliness of coffee equipment and service areas, and handling transactions accurately and securely. This position requires physical stamina for standing or walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and inventory control
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Availability to work varying shifts
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Customer service related work experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems
  • Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Certification as a Starbucks Barista may be required

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and provide quick, friendly, and personalized service
  • Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks while considering customer specifications
  • Maintain good customer relations and ensure speedy delivery of beverages and food items
  • Educate guests regarding menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling
  • Arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to create attractive displays
  • Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
  • Record all sales, collect money, operate cash register, and follow all cash-handling procedures
