This Barista role at CRMC combines the hospitality-driven skills of a barista with the mindful responsibilities inherent in a healthcare food service environment. As a Barista, you will be an essential member of the food service team, interacting daily with patients, visitors, families, and healthcare staff, providing not only food and beverage items but also a compassionate and friendly presence. This role demands the ability to prepare and serve various food and beverages, strictly adhering to food safety guidelines, healthcare regulations, and sanitation standards. You’ll be tasked with maintaining cleanliness, food handling using proper hygiene, monitoring food temperatures, and ensuring presentation appeals to patients and guests.

Your duties will extend beyond beverage preparation, including assisting with customer sales in a coffee or retail food area, operating the cash register, managing payments, assembling and delivering patient trays, preparing cold food items such as sandwiches and salads, and supporting catering services. Maintaining sanitation includes washing dishes, cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal. Additionally, inventory duties like stocking food and supply items and assisting with inventory checks will be part of your responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • One year of food service experience
  • Food Handlers Permit or Servsafe Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work early morning and late evening shifts
