The JW Marriott brand values its employees highly, believing that when employees are happy and engaged, guests receive the best service possible. Employees are encouraged to innovate, build genuine connections, and uphold the legacy of company founder J. Willard Marriott, in an environment that promotes holistic well-being and professional growth.
This opportunity is for a part-time, non-management Food and Beverage position based in Seattle, Washington. The role is on-call and offers an hourly wage of $21.30, with eligibility for tips, making it a great option for individuals seeking flexible hours in a dynamic environment. The position is located at 2100 Alaskan Way, in the heart of Seattle, providing a vibrant setting where culinary hospitality meets stunning waterfront views.
As a Food and Beverage team member at JW Marriott Seattle, you will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by performing a range of duties focused on efficient restaurant and café operations. Key responsibilities include opening and closing tasks such as organizing supplies and equipment, maintaining cleanliness of utensils, work areas, and tables, processing customer orders through the MICROS point-of-sale system, and ensuring that all appliances like coffee machines are properly used and maintained during shifts.
Attention to detail and maintaining high standards of cleanliness are crucial in this role. You will be responsible for handling cash transactions accurately, reconciling payment discrepancies, securing the cash register at the end of shifts, and supporting your team members in meeting quality assurance metrics. Flexibility, physical stamina, and effective communication skills are necessary to move between various workstations, interact with guests warmly, and support a collaborative team environment.
Marriott International prioritizes safety and inclusivity, requiring adherence to safety protocols and encouraging reporting of any maintenance or safety concerns. Employees are expected to project a professional appearance, respect confidentiality, and contribute to a positive workplace culture where dignity and respect guide interactions with colleagues and guests alike.

These benefits include a 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase options, travel discounts, employee assistance programs, and childcare discounts. Full-time employees additionally receive medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care, life and disability insurance, accident coverage, adoption expense reimbursement, paid parental leave, and educational assistance.
