The Barista role at Sodexo, based at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston, offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities with a competitive pay range of $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. This position requires flexibility with varying shifts and days/hours, with open availability preferred. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service and crafting quality beverages in a fast-paced environment.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for greeting guests, providing friendly and personalized service, and preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks according to customer preferences. Attention to detail and speed are essential as you will help maintain efficient delivery of drinks and food items while building strong customer relationships. Your role will also involve educating guests about menu offerings, suggesting additional items to enhance their experience, and maintaining an attractive display of coffee bar supplies.

In addition to beverage preparation, you will be expected to keep coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation spaces clean and orderly. Handling sales transactions accurately and following proper cash handling procedures are also critical components of your duties. This position requires significant physical activity, including standing or walking for long periods, lifting, bending, and other mobility tasks, often lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
