Job Description

The available role reports to the Good Things Manager and involves providing exceptional food and beverage service within the luxury property’s cafe. This position requires delivering timely, personalized, friendly, and efficient service to discerning guests, maintaining strict cleanliness and operational standards, and actively contributing to both the daily running and ongoing enhancements of the cafe operation. The role demands a proactive mindset, including participation in sales promotions, maintenance and stock monitoring, and upholding Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' high standards for product and service quality. Additionally, the role involves promoting health and safety within the workplace and providing support to colleagues as necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous guest service experience preferred
  • Previous point of sale system experience preferred
  • Good cash handling skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs and remain calm and courteous at all times

Job Duties

  • Provide timely, personalized, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to guests
  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of the cafe exceeds expectations
  • Contribute ideas and participate in departmental communication meetings
  • Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions
  • Ensure that all beverage products meet Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
  • Ensure the cafe is well stocked and communicate any '86 items to Manager on Duty
  • Maintain a clean cafe area with functional equipment
  • Report concerns related to guests, service quality, or operations to the Manager
  • Be health and safety conscious and maintain a safe work environment
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials
  • Complete side duties promptly
  • Assist colleagues in daily tasks as required
