The Barista position at Sodexo Live's Descanso Gardens location offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $17 to $19 per hour. The role requires availability for varying shifts with open availability preferred. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service through the preparation and serving of hand-crafted, high-quality hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks. Beyond beverage preparation, this role involves engaging with guests in a friendly and personalized manner, educating them about menu offerings, and practicing suggestive selling to enhance the customer experience.

This position also demands maintaining a clean and organized coffee bar environment, including the arrangement of supplies and cleaning of equipment. Handling monetary transactions accurately and efficiently is essential, following all established cash-handling procedures. The Barista must have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift equipment or supplies up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks as required. Timely attendance and reliability are critical components of job success in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
