At Crown College, Sodexo is currently seeking a full-time Barista to join their team. The Barista role is vital in providing exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality, hand-made coffee beverages. This position offers flexible, varying shifts with open availability preferred, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work schedule. The pay range for this role is $16 to $18 per hour, reflecting Sodexo's commitment to competitive compensation and employee satisfaction.

The Barista at Sodexo will be responsible for delivering quick, friendly, and personalized service to all guests, preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, teas, and fruit blend drinks according to customers’ preferences. This role goes beyond basic service, including educating guests on menu offerings and utilizing upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences. Managing and maintaining the cleanliness of coffee machines and preparation areas is also an essential part of the daily duties.

The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periods—often exceeding eight hours per shift—and the capability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The Barista must comply with cash handling procedures while maintaining accurate sales records. Sodexo values punctuality and reliability, expecting all team members to attend scheduled shifts consistently and on time.

Sodexo encourages applicants who hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, alongside prior customer service experience and knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and inventory control systems. Certification as a Starbucks Barista may be required depending on the account specifications.
