Sodexo serves diverse sectors including healthcare, education, corporate, and more, ensuring a positive and memorable experience through outstanding service and operational excellence.
This job opening is for a full-time Barista position at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin under Sodexo’s management. The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.50. As a Barista, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional and personalized customer service while preparing high-quality hand-crafted beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and fruit blends. You will engage directly with guests, greeting them warmly and ensuring their beverage experience is enjoyable and meets their specifications. Sodexo emphasizes speed, accuracy, and friendliness to maintain a welcoming environment.
The role involves not just beverage preparation but also educating guests about menu offerings and encouraging suggestive selling to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. As part of your duties, you will maintain an attractive and organized coffee bar or cart, including arranging supplies and cleaning equipment regularly. Handling cash register operations and following strict cash-handling procedures is also expected.
Physical stamina is essential for this position as it requires standing or walking for extended periods, often exceeding 8-hour shifts. You’ll need to be able to lift or move weights up to 35 pounds frequently and sometimes up to 50 pounds. Reliable attendance and punctuality are vital to this role, supporting smooth shift operations. Sodexo also highlights that some responsibilities may vary depending on client business needs and account specifics.
Working at Sodexo is more than just holding a job; it’s about being part of a company that values your individuality and encourages you to thrive. Sodexo supports a flexible and inclusive working environment where employees can balance their professional and personal lives effectively. The organization invests in ongoing training and development opportunities, helping employees to turn their jobs into lifelong careers. Employees can access a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and employee discount programs. Depending on location, additional perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety gear, and transportation support may be offered.
Sodexo prioritizes a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring every employee’s voice is heard and valued. They are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, religion, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. This job offers a meaningful opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering quality service in a fast-paced healthcare environment and want to be part of a company making a positive impact globally.
