The Barista position at Bon Appetit located at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio is hiring immediately for both full-time and part-time schedules, with a pay range of $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. This role involves making and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as related food and beverage items, while following high standards for quality and food safety according to HACCP guidelines. The position requires interaction with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient service. Candidates with at least one year of barista experience are preferred, and open availability is favored to accommodate varying hours and days. Job Qualifications

Previous 1 year of barista experience preferred

knowledge of standard espresso preparation and beverage service
strong attention to detail

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
serves customers quickly and efficiently
demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
serves as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
ensures display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
performs other duties as assigned
