We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time Barista positions located at UF Health Flagler Hospital in Saint Augustine, Florida. These roles offer an opportunity to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment within a premier healthcare facility. The Barista position is integral to the hospital’s foodservice operations, delivering high-quality coffee and espresso beverages along with related food items to patients, staff, and visitors. This position operates Monday through Friday with shifts running from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and occasional weekend hours may be required. Pay ranges from $16.50 to $17.50 per hour.

The Barista is responsible for preparing espresso orders using standard recipes, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the service area, handling food safely in compliance with HACCP guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires accuracy in taking orders and transactions, restocking supplies, and working efficiently to serve customers promptly. Good communication skills are essential, as the Barista interacts directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and relay feedback when necessary. The position also requires attention to detail in food presentation and portion control to maintain the highest quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including occasional weekends
  • Previous barista experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously
  • Must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily
