Ned's Club Washington DC is a distinguished members' club located within the historic and architecturally significant Riggs Building in the heart of the US capital. The building, a neoclassical masterpiece situated opposite the US Treasury and mere steps from the White House, offers a unique and prestigious location for this exclusive social and business venue. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar hospitality role preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 35 pounds
- Eligible to work in the US
- Open availability preferred
Job Qualifications
- Fantastic personality with strong customer engagement skills
- Great all-round coffee and hot drinks knowledge
- Desire to learn and progress with participation in bar training programs
- Ability to work morning shifts starting at 6:30am
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods during shifts
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds
- Experience in a hospitality or barista role preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve up perfectly made hot and cold drinks from our range of menus
- On our guest service bars you will be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, along with recommendations and suggested drinks
- On our service bars you will speedily prepare the orders as they come in, keeping our servers and runners stocked with the hot and cold drinks they need to deliver a seamless experience to our guests
- All of our bars are in full view of the guests so a tidy, presentable, and slick operation is essential
- Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned's Club standards reach our guests
- Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm
