With a commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and inclusivity, Sodexo operates in various sectors including healthcare, education, corporate, and government, providing tailored services that meet diverse needs and create significant value.

The current opportunity is for a Barista position based at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. This is a full-time role with weekday shifts available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The hourly pay rate is set at $18.00. As a Barista at Sodexo, you will be entrusted with creating exceptional, hand-crafted beverages that delight customers while delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires you to be engaged in greeting guests warmly and effectively, understanding and fulfilling their beverage preferences including coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty fruit blend beverages. Besides beverage preparation, you will maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the coffee bar area, manage inventory, and actively promote menu items through suggestive selling. Cash handling and sales recording form part of your responsibilities, involving reliable operation of the cash register and adherence to cash-handling policies.

The position demands physical endurance since the job includes significant walking, standing for long periods that sometimes exceed eight hours, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds. Successful Baristas should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and the ability to motivate themselves to uphold high standards of sanitation, food safety, and customer satisfaction.

This role offers access to Sodexo’s flexible and supportive work environment that emphasizes work-life balance, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities intended to nurture your career growth. Additionally, comprehensive benefits are provided to support you and your family's wellbeing, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) plans, with some locations offering extra perks such as free meals during shifts or transportation support.

Overall, joining Sodexo as a Barista at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center means becoming part of an international network of professionals dedicated to creating better everyday experiences.
