Operating under different names such as Advocate Health Care in Illinois, Atrium Health in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Alabama, and Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin, Advocate Health is recognized nationally for its clinical innovation, superior health outcomes, consumer experience, and commitment to value-based care. With its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, Advocate Health serves nearly six million patients and actively participates in hundreds of clinical trials and research studies. It is further distinguished by its collaboration with the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, which acts as the academic foundation of its enterprise. The health system is highly regarded for its expertise across multiple medical specialties including cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, rehabilitation, organ transplants, burn treatments, and specialized musculoskeletal programs. Employing approximately 155,000 teammates across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations, Advocate Health also boasts one of the nation’s largest graduate medical education programs with more than 2,000 residents and fellows across over 200 training programs. Apart from this, the system is deeply committed to health equity, contributing over $6 billion annually towards community benefits to ensure accessible and equitable care for all populations.
