- Knowledge of food preparation sanitation standards and inventory control systems
- Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified

Job Duties
- Greets all guests and provides quick friendly and personalized service
- Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee espresso cappuccino café latte tea chai fruit blend drinks considering customer specifications
- Maintains good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items
- Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling
- Arranges coffee bar or cart supplies and cups or mugs to create attractive displays
- Cleans coffee machines restaurant and preparation areas
- Records all sales collects money operates a cash register and follows all cash-handling procedures
- Performs significant walking or mobility tasks
- Stands or walks for extended periods which may exceed 8 hours
- Reaches bends stoops pushes or pulls and lifts up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
- Attends work and shows for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
- Performs other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
