The Barista position at Sodexo Live is a part-time role located at Washington State Ferries in Seattle, WA. This position offers a pay rate of $23 per hour and features varying shifts, including days and hours, with open availability preferred. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional and personalized customer service while crafting high-quality beverages. Your work will involve preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, taking into consideration individual customer specifications. This role demands not only technical beverage-making skills but also the ability to maintain good customer relations, create attractive displays, and ensure speedy service. The role often requires physical activity including significant walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally. Baristas contribute to the overall dining experience by educating guests about menu offerings and using suggestive selling techniques. This job might also include maintaining cleanliness of coffee equipment and work areas, handling cash transactions accurately, and adhering to all cash-handling procedures.
