Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent such as GED
- Relevant work experience in customer service
- Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- Familiarity with inventory control methods
- Availability to work weekends
- Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance
- Willingness to perform assigned duties as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, inventory control standards and systems
- Certification as a Starbucks barista may be required
Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide fast, friendly, and personalized service
- Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, chai, fruit smoothies according to customer specifications
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers and ensure prompt delivery of all drinks and food
- Educate customers about menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling
- Organize supplies and cups/mugs of the coffee cart/bar in an attractive manner
- Regularly clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
- Record all sales, handle cash, operate a cash register, and follow all cash handling procedures as needed
- Walk or circulate extensively during shifts
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods that may exceed 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Attend work and report to scheduled shifts on time and with regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
