Marriott is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, making it a sought-after employer in the hospitality sector.

The Barista position at Marriott Hotels is an essential role focused on delivering high-quality coffee and beverage service within the hotel’s food and beverage outlets. This role is more than just preparing drinks; it involves creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring their experience is memorable and tailored to their preferences. The Barista is responsible for expertly preparing a variety of coffee drinks, including specialty beverages, and may occasionally prepare plated meals or alcoholic drinks upon request. Understanding the ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards is crucial to maintaining the quality Marriott guests expect.

Beyond drink preparation, the Barista must maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items as well as coffee, liquor, and beer brands available. This ensures the ability to answer guest questions confidently and provide recommendations. Guest satisfaction is paramount, so handling complaints promptly and professionally is a key aspect of the role. Operational responsibilities include the use of the Point of Sale system, cash handling, and adherence to state liquor regulations. The Barista is also integral in upholding Marriott’s core values, including innovation and respect, contributing to a positive team dynamic and efficient service delivery. This position requires a flexible schedule, with availability on weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of hotel operations.

In summary, the Barista role at Marriott Hotels offers an exciting opportunity to join a world-class hospitality company committed to excellence and guest satisfaction. It is a position that combines technical skill, customer service expertise, and a passion for the craft of coffee preparation.
