The Barista role at Kith is a key frontline position located at the West Hollywood store, available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a competitive pay rate of $21.00-$22.00 per hour plus tips. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the guest’s overall dining experience by delivering exceptional beverage service at the bar area. The Barista uses their bartending skills to craft both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that exceed guest expectations. Beyond beverage preparation, the Barista is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar environment and partnering closely with Front of House, Back of House, and Management teams, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction. This role demands a thorough understanding of all in-house beverage options and menu items, enabling the Barista to confidently respond to guest inquiries and provide allergen information when necessary. The position requires flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the food and beverage industry. The Barista also contributes to inventory management, cleanliness, housekeeping duties, and supports special events or projects to uphold the brand’s high standards. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment and who thrives in a team-oriented setting with a strong guest focus.

Job Requirements

  • Open and flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as holidays
  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require
  • Valid Food Handler License/Certificate or ServSafe License/Certificate is required
  • 2+ years in the food & beverage industry
  • 1+ year(s) of bartending experience
  • 2+ years in a high-volume customer facing role
  • 1+ years processing cash and card transactions through a POS system
  • Multi-tasking while maintaining an upbeat and professional demeanor
  • Ability to lift and move 30lbs
  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handler License/Certificate or ServSafe License/Certificate
  • 2+ years in the food & beverage industry

Job Duties

  • Welcomes all guests and informs them of any specials, new menu items, while answering any questions they may have
  • Preparing all ingredients required for all beverage options on the menu, including but not limited to coffee(s), tea(s), juices, alcoholic and non-alcoholic options
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sterilized countertop/bar area
  • Serve any guest(s) sitting around the bar/countertop area, while preparing all beverage orders placed by the Front of House team
  • Remain educated on all food and beverage offerings on our menu, including individual ingredients to ensure potential allergens are communicated with all guests
  • Continuously manage and maintain physical inventories of all beverage options as well as required ingredients, to prevent any possible sell-through
  • Immediately address any customer issues, questions, and overall comments
  • they will properly partner with the Management team to address any matters that they are unable to resolve on their own for the guest(s)
  • Effectively communicate any inventory needs, maintenance issues or overall concerns with the Management team
  • Assist F&B leadership team with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations
  • Assist with the planning and execution of any on/off-site events, including but not limited to pop-up events, private guests’ events held outside of normal business hours
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized café, by completing any standard cleaning procedures commonly associated with a food & beverage outpost.
