This current opportunity is for an on-call part-time Barista to work at the San Diego Convention Center. The selected candidates will enjoy competitive pay at a rate of $23.60 per hour. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess excellent customer service skills. As a Barista at Sodexo Live, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, hand-crafted coffee and other beverages, while delivering exceptional customer service. The position requires open availability with varying shifts, and participation in this role offers flexibility, which is ideal for those looking for part-time work with varied hours. Your daily responsibilities will involve preparing a variety of hot and cold drinks such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, tailoring orders to meet customer preferences. Beyond beverage preparation, you will also engage with customers by greeting them warmly, educating them about menu offerings, and practicing suggestive selling to enhance their experience.

In addition to beverage service, the role includes maintaining cleanliness of coffee machines and preparation areas, managing inventory supplies for attractive coffee bar displays, and adhering to all cash handling procedures. Given the physical demands of the role, candidates should be able to stand or walk for extended periods, frequently lift items weighing up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
