Job Description
Andrew Wommack Ministries (AWM) is a prominent teaching ministry dedicated to sharing the unconditional love and balanced message of grace and faith through the Gospel. For more than four decades, Andrew and Jamie Wommack have been committed to educating the body of Christ via various platforms including seminars, churches, radio, television, and Charis Bible College. The ministry also develops extensive materials to help individuals deepen their relationship with the Lord. Rooted in a family-oriented culture, AWM values excellence, faithfulness, and integrity and is passionate about spreading the Gospel as far and as deep as possible. The ministry fosters a warm and supportive working environment where employees are encouraged to have fun while committing to their spiritual mission.
The role of the Barista/Customer Service Associate at Charis Bible College, part of Andrew Wommack Ministries, is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service and enriching the overall visitor experience through the provision of food and beverage services. This position requires dedication to preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and food products while maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency within the kiosk or food service environment. The position demands flexibility as work hours and schedules are subject to change based on the conference and event timetable at the college.
This role emphasizes not only the technical skills necessary for beverage preparation and point-of-sale operations but also the interpersonal skills needed to build relationships with customers and coworkers. Responsibilities include handling cash and payments accurately, managing inventory to ensure sufficient stock availability, and assisting with catering services during events. The ideal candidate will possess a calm, patient demeanor suitable for handling busy periods and must abide by health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
Moreover, candidates are expected to demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, and a supportive team spirit. The position supports the ministry’s mission by promoting its culture, values, and faith through their conduct and service. There is also a focus on continuous improvement by participating in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and ministry policies. This role requires the physical ability to stand for prolonged durations and handle the lifting or moving of products weighing up to 30 pounds. Candidates with customer service or barista experience, including food handling knowledge, are preferred.
This role is ideal for individuals who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, are committed to the ministry's Statement of Faith, and either are students or graduates of Charis Bible College. A clean and modest appearance is required, along with the ability to pass all necessary background checks. The compensation offered will be commensurate with experience, and full-time employees benefit from a comprehensive package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, and other important protections.
Overall, the Barista/Customer Service Associate position offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of a faith-driven organization while developing valuable skills in food service and customer relations within a vibrant ministry community. Candidates looking to contribute to a mission focused on spreading the Gospel while engaging with diverse individuals will find this position rewarding and fulfilling.
